Where Your Support Goes
Every gift to The Almendra Foundation, whether from an individual, a business, or a grantmaking institution, is recorded, assigned to a designated fund, and overseen by our Board of Directors.
How Contributions Are Allocated
Donors may designate a gift to a specific fund. Undesignated gifts are directed by the Board to the area of greatest need across the three funds.
The Charitable Student Support Fund
Clinical scholarships for low-income families who cannot afford expedited evaluations or therapy.
- Psychological and neuropsychological evaluations
- Evidence-based counseling sessions
- Payments made directly to licensed providers, never to families in cash
Clinical Infrastructure & Telehealth Integration
Maintaining a secure, verified provider network at zero cost to school districts.
- Provider license verification
- Secure telehealth access for families
- Confidential case coordination and compliance logging
Restorative Advocacy & Community Training
Materials and family advocates who support students through campus reviews.
- Family advocate support at campus meetings
- Training for staff, coaches, and fine arts directors
- Printed and digital family resources
How We Safeguard Every Gift
Restricted funds honored
When a donor or grant agreement designates a purpose, the gift is tracked separately and spent only on that purpose.
Separation of duties
Gifts are recorded by our Treasurer and reviewed by a second officer, so no single person handles a contribution from receipt to disbursement.
Board-approved assistance
Scholarships and student assistance follow the Foundation’s written Scholarship & Student Assistance Policy, with approval levels set by the Board.
Written acknowledgment for every gift
Every donor receives a written receipt within 30 days, with the information required for federal tax substantiation.
Conflict-of-interest safeguards
Directors disclose potential conflicts of interest and abstain from any decision in which they have a personal interest.
Annual public reporting
The Foundation files its required annual IRS information return and keeps contribution records for at least seven years.
